Cleveland Museum of Art

Debuting ““It Starts With Me: Shifting Priorities to Create the Beloved Community.”  You’ll find inspiration to “take action challenges.” This is free, along with the current “Picturing Motherhood Now” Exhibition. They’ll be open MLK Day from 10am-5pm

Maltz Museum

Hosting in person and virtual events. The museum is free all day. There will be virtual programs like a “Stop The Hate” workshop for essay writer, a discussion with Khalid el-Hakim who founded the Black History 101 Mobile Museum, book readings and dance performances. Their MLK hours are 10:30am-4:30pm.

Rock and Roll Hall o Fame

Free admission (tickets reserved at the Rock Hal website). Marcus Smith will perform.

Tri-C Dr. King Celebration
Cuyahoga Community College will host its 45th annual Dr. King Celebration virtually. There will be musical performances, student speeches and scholarship presentations. Free at 2:30pm.

Cavs Game

Video montages, MLK-themed routines, halftime performance by speed painter David Garibaldi. 3pm game time.

Great Lakes Science Center
Astronauts from the NASA Artemis team and the National Society of Black Engineers will talk about their work. Rocket demonstrations and other NASA related activities. Free. 10am.

Cleveland Public Library

A special spotlight on community and “I Have A Dream” speech will air 7pm on January 15th on WUAB 43, and 11am on January 17th on Channel 19

Akron Zoo

Free admission! Activities with Phi Delta Kappa and NAACP’s Akron Chapter.

Akron Art Museum
Games, educational videos, studio projects and more. Free admission, open 11am-5pm.

Disney on Ice
Happening through January 16th.
