"We are currently out of water," read one sign in the store, according to EatThis.com. "There is not yet an ETA for our next delivery. We apologize for the inconvenience."
Other signs inform customers they can only buy five cases of water in one visit. Some suspect missed deliveries and a water bottling plant shutdown are to blame.

You can only walk out with five of Peet's two-pound bags of ground coffee.
Other items, like a pack of about 200 diapers, were discounted nearly $10 off each box and had a two-product limit. Costco also limited the purchase of some electronics, glasses, mattresses, and more.
The members-only savings event ends on August 29.
