The entire country can't get enough of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
The 49-year-old was just named the number 1 reason to Love America by People magazine, in honor he says is better than being named the magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2016.
"It feels great. I've been a lucky guy over the years to have the career that I've been blessed enough to have," Johnson told the outlet. "And things like this, I'm always appreciative.”
And while there has been interest to see the wrestler-turned-actor make a bid for the White House, the “Jumanji” star finds the prospect of being considered for the role a “humbling honor.”
"I love our country to my core and I'm endlessly grateful for the opportunities I've had here, as a half-Black, half-Samoan kid being able to work my ass off knowing tenacity opens doors," Johnson added. "In a lot of ways, I'm indebted to our great country for it."
Born in California, Johnson admits he never had political aspirations and he’s “not sure I even have the patience or resignation to deal with the B.S. that comes with politics and politicians."
But a recent Newsweek poll showed that 46% of respondents would support Johnson’s run for the presidency. The results have caused him to think about things a little bit harder.
"When 46 percent of Americans say they're in favor of me becoming president, that forces me to humbly and respectfully stand up, listen and learn,” he told the outlet.
For now, he’s focusing on his busy acting career as his latest movie, “Jungle Cruise,” is set to hit theaters and Disney+ Premier on July 30.
