Jennifer Lopez is living her best life!
Ahead of her romantic comedy release, “Marry Me,” Lopez shared how she is doing in life in this week’s cover story for People.
The 52-year-old revealed how she has found inner peace and said that her kids, 13-year-old twins Max and Emme, are healthy and happy.
“I’ve never been better,” Lopez said. “It’s just that we’re all in a very beautiful moment.”
Of course, Lopez explained how her beau Ben Affleck has something to do with her cheerful mood.
“I feel so lucky and happy and proud to be with him,” Lopez said. “It’s a beautiful love story that we got a second chance.”
For Lopez and Affleck, the couple made their “back together” official appearance together at the Venice International Film Festival.
Affleck and Lopez were engaged in 2002 and later co-starred in films like “Jersey Girl” and “Gigli.” After postponing their 2003 wedding, they officially broke up in 2004.
As for the present relationship now, she says, “We both were like, ‘Wow, we’re so happy and we don’t want any of that to come into play again.’ We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience, we’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things. We’re so protective because it is such a beautiful time for all of us.”
She adds, “I just feel very happy and lucky to be in a relationship that’s happy and loving, and I want to do everything I can to protect that and keep it safe. It deserves that, it really does. ... We hold it sacred.”
Nearly two decades later, the mother-of-two explained how the relationship is beautiful this time and that it feels very different. She explained how she has more of an appreciation and celebration for being with Affleck and is grateful for her second chance at love.
Lopez recalls that having an optimistic outlook on life helps others feel the same way.
“When you’re in a good, healthy relationship, everybody benefits from that. Everybody,” she added.
As to what will happen in JLo’s future, she just wants to be happy, she shared.
