Zac Efron and his grandpa are busting outta here!
In a zany clip posted to his Instagram yesterday, the “High School Musical” star starts with a serious, “We’re gonna bust grandpa outta here,” and proceeds to steal his gramps out of a senior living facility.
Like Tom Cruise creeping into some secret underground lair, Efron -- with a shirt on this time -- sneaks his way around the facility, even doing a somersault around one corner, with the famous “Mission: Impossible” theme pumping in the background until he finally finds grandpa’s room.
Pops slaps on his cap and says, “Let’s get outta here,” then Zac speeds him in his wheelchair to the car where they make it to Zac’s pad in time to catch the Euro Cup on July 11.
The extremely well-lit facility and obvious fact that no one is trying to stop them makes Zac’s spy movie send-up that much funnier.
Not to mention, grandpa pulls off his action movie moves perfectly, even including slugging down a Coca-Cola in the car.
As Pop Sugar has noted, Zac has called his grandpa “my hero,” but Zac is playing the hero in this wacky clip.
Zac’s brother Dylan shot the whole thing, and the two end the clip having a laugh over the whole escapade.
