Day Glow – Crying on the Dancefloor
Just as we slowly start to return to dancefloors this summer, Texas-native and Alt-Pop artist, Dayglow, is reminding us that things will still get a little emotional. The 80s-inspired, heavy synth track is a sweet little summer diddy that will surely keep our hips swaying all summer.
Foushee – my slime
At the beginning of June, Foushee dropped her debut album, time machine, and our favorite track off the new project is “my slime.” The quirky love song is eerie yet sweet. The song makes for a perfect daydreaming moment and the lyrics “you’re my partner in crime” play out literally in the song’s brand new music video.
Claire Rosinkranz – Frankenstein
Claire Rosinkranz’s latest single, “Frankenstein,” is a cheery tune with sweetly sinister lyrics. As the artist sings about “building my Frankenstein” Rosinkranz gets her point across with her lyrics and satiates the need for a sunny summer bop with the track’s up-tempo melody.
Griff - One Foot in Front of the Other
Griff is on the rise, and if you haven’t hopped on the “One Foot In Front of the Other” bandwagon… well then you better get to steppin’. The British singer, who is set to release her first mixtape this month, just debuted the project’s title track. The new classic Pop anthem pulls influences from Charli XCX’s famed autotuned sound and hits its stride because of Griff’s wonderful songwriting capabilities.
Destiny Rogers ft. Kalan.FrFr – West Like
Repping Los Angeles and sharing a love for her roots, Destiny Rogers is taking a page out of Snoop Dogg’s book, knowing that she’ll have the whole room grooving with her latest single, “West Like.” The artist came up in Southern California and has always had a strong connection to her home. In an Instagram post the singer explained, “#WestLike is about home for me. from the california love to the homemade tortillas my grandma makes with corridos playing in the background. this song was created in 2018 and im so happy that this s*** is finally out!!!!”
Bella Poarch – Build A Bi***
Bella Poarch’s “Build a B****” isn’t just a play on “Build-A-Bear,” the new Pop song is pulling massive numbers on TikTok. The Pop singer has racked up 72 million followers on the video-sharing app and has a viral dance challenge attached to the new song, as well. Plus, we’re deeming this a bad b**** anthem of the summer.
MARINA - Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land
Empowerment is the name of Marina Diamandis’ game. Solely going by MARINA now, the artist has entered into a new era of truth-telling anthems that remind us, “you are not here to conform.” Celebrating individuality and purpose, MARINA’s fourth studio album, sharing the same name as her latest single, arrives on June 11.
