As we transition into our last full month of summer, we are trying to make all those sunny and warm vibes last forever. Between SEB’s “seaside_demo” and Lorde’s “Stoned at the Nail Salon” we felt these seven songs achieve the emotions that a waning summer brings about. From nostalgic to looking ahead to spooky season… these are the seven Pop songs you need to hear this August.

Cherry Flavored Stomach Ache – HAIM
For the soundtrack to Netflix’s The Last Letter From Your Lover, comes HAIM’s “Cherry Flavored Stomach Ache,” which perfectly encapsulates the glow of the high summer and of course…summer romance. Filled with the sound of harmonicas, the sisters of HAIM always seem to know how to capture a moment in time.
Thank God You Introduced Me to Your Sister – Sarah Barrios
This flirty and fun little bop by Sarah Barrios reminds us how summer always brings out the best romances and fun-filled moments. Cramming in a few more trips to the beach? Well, then this is the carefree song you have to play and sing along to with the windows down!
seaside_demo - SEB
Baby, we just want to see the seaside and “kick it with you” forever. Coming off of his EP, IT’S OKAY WE’RE DREAMING, SEB provides us with an ethereal and sweet diddy that has us wondering when we’ll get an invite to a picnic in the back of his pickup truck.
Kiss My (Uh Oh) - Anne-Marie & Little Mix
Well, once we saw that Anne-Marie referenced the iconic Bridesmaids airplane scene for her “Kiss My (Uh Oh)” music video we knew we wouldn’t be able to get enough. The badassery that Anna-Marie and Little Mix exude throughout this video is a mood we’ll be attempting to emulate for the rest of the summer.
Day I Die – DeathbyRomy
Up and comer, DeathbyRomy is serving all the freaky vibes with her new single “Day I Die” and tbh it’s getting us super ready for Halloween 2021. The dark Pop songstress has us screaming “kerosene, lemonade, like gasoline, I love the taste.”
Stoned at the Nail Salon – Lorde
One can always count on Lorde to provide some introspection. And “Stoned at the Nail Salon” is an introspective buffet of delights from the Kiwi singer’s perspective. However, what she sings about is easy to relate to… as another summer ends, we can’t help but reflect on our favorite moments and look ahead to what’s to come. So, pop what you need, pick out your favorite OPI shade, and start reminiscing as your feet soak in the spa chair tub.
Shapeshifter - Alessia Cara
This new era of Alessia has brought us some mysterious and mature moments from the artist and we love it! “Shapeshifter” will be making its way on to our Autumn playlists and growing with us as the seasons change.
