Halsey is taking the title of their upcoming album, ’The Great Impersonator, quite literally.

This week, the 30-year-old took to Instagram to share they’d be posting photos weekly impersonating artists that inspired tracks on the new project up until its October 25 release.

First up was Dolly Parton and the resemblance is so spot on that even the icon herself commented with a red heart emoji. The photos posted to social media feature Halsey as they recreate Parton’s 1987 Rainbow album cover and also share that Parton inspired the track, “Hometown,” which features a stripped, acoustic sound.

From the voluminous blonde hair, beauty mark, outfit, and even Dolly’s cleavage, Halsey left no detail ignored.

The Great Impersonator is set to release on October 25 and will mark Halsey’s fifth studio album, which she describes as a "confessional concept album.”

“What if I debuted in the early 2000s? The ’90s? The ’80s? The ’70s? Am I still Halsey every time? In every timeline, do I still get sick? Do I become a mom?” Halsey shared in a career-spanning trailer that arrived in August. “If it all ended right now, is this a person you’d be proud to leave behind? Is it even you?”

Hear The Great Impersonator for yourself beginning October 25 and check out Halsey’s socials to see a new impersonation tied to the project each week.
