Harry Styles’ latest interview with Dazed has blessed us with so many good Harry Styles deets it’s almost hard to keep track. We said almost… so one; he debuted "Pleasing," two; he gave us some insight to his need to compartmentalize his public persona and his private life, and three; he spoke about his forthcoming role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which we’ve yet to dive into. So… shall we?
Breaking his silence for the first time since it was announced, Harry told Dazed how he feels about being cast as Eros, the brother of Thanos aka the villain everyone loves to hate.

While his first appearance in the franchise was fleeting, but nonetheless exciting, and not just for us watching, but for Styles as well.
“I’m only in right at the very end," Harry said of his brief cameo in the post-credits scene of Chloé Zhao’s Eternals. “But who didn’t grow up wanting to be a superhero, you know?”
"It was a great experience and I'm so grateful to have gotten to work with Chloé," Harry added. And it seems the feeling was mutual for Zhao, who while speaking to Deadline earlier this month noted:
"Harry as Eros was very much a package deal for me," she explained. "I pitched the idea of Pip the Troll (voiced by Patton Oswalt) and Eros to Kevin (Feige —President of Marvel Studios) a while back. I love the idea of exploring an Eternal who is beyond Titan and who may have influenced Thanos throughout the years, the same way Eternals influenced us earthlings.”
Chloé went on to admit, “I kept tabs on Harry since Dunkirk, I thought he was very interesting.” She continue, “After meeting him I realized he is that character – the same way I cast the rest of my cast. There’s so much of Eros in him.” She recalled thinking, “if he says yes, and Kevin says yes, then it’s a go. And I’m very happy they both did.”
As to whether Harry will reprise his role as Eros in future MCU projects, that remains to be seen. And knowing how Feige rolls we doubt we’ll know anytime soon. But honestly, it’s whatever because it’t totally worth the wait.
