It takes a bold pizza shop to go above and beyond with their serving sizes. Thankfully, there are many pizzerias around the country that are up to challenge.
In case you're up to a challenge, we've compiled eateries from coast to coast who pride themselves on serving you a slice of pizza bigger than your head... or a baby... or a baby's crib.
Whether you need as much drippy melty cheese as possible, have a huge appetite, or are just 'za fanatic, these are some of the largest commercially-available pies across the country.
Super Slice from Pizza Barn in Yonkers, NY
Next time you're in New York City, hustle up an hour north to Pizza Barn in Yonkers and get yourself a Super Slice, a two-foot mammoth that's not for the faint of gastrointestinal health. This slice is so massive, the shop needs a large purple disclaimer on their online menu warning customers to "please note the difference between a 'regular' slice, a Super Slice, or our round pies as we sell all three." If you're a complete psychopath, you can get this little number topped with mac and cheese. A plain cheese Super Slice will run you $15, a paltry price for bragging rights that you didn't eat this cut up in little squares or with a fork and knife.
Jumbo Slice at Pizza Mart in Washington, DC
Pizza Mart is a trailblazer of the hotly competitive jumbo slice culture in Adams Morgan, one of DC's best neighborhoods for a raucous night out. Pizza Mart is the home of the original Jumbo Slice in a neighborhood where they have proliferated over the years. The 16-inch triangle of greasy, cheesy goodness is just what the doctor ordered after a boozy night out at one of many bars in the area.
Giant Sicilian Pizza at Big Mama's and Papa's in Los Angeles
Mamma mia that's a big pie! Head over to Big Mama's and Papa's in LA to get your hands on the Guinness World Record holder for world's largest deliverable pizza. The Giant Sicilian lives up to its name in size and shape, coming in at a hefty 54" by 54", with a total of 200 squares, able to feed 50 to 70 people, and running you a cool $300. The franchise needs 24 hours notice to compose this work of art, giving you enough time to get a hungry squad together and wait to receive this the only way it can be delivered: on top of a special compartment attached to the roof of a car.
The Bus at Moontower in Burleson, Texas
In the more-competitive-than-you-thought category of $300 pizzas is The Bus at Moontower. This Burleson, Texas-based offering is 8 feet by 32 inches, and must be ordered 48 hours in advance. It also earned the Guinness World Record for largest commercially-available pizza in 2018, a title previously held by Big Mama's and Papa's.
