NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Macy’s has unveiled its holiday windows, which pay tribute to first responders, essential workers and New Yorkers who showed “their true grit” as the city faced unprecedented challenges this year.
The windows, with the 2020 theme of “Give, Love, Believe,” were unveiled Thursday and will stay lit through the holiday season.

Sidewalk markers in front of the windows encourage people to social distance as they take in the displays.
Manny Urquizo, Macy’s director of storewide visual campaigns and windows, explained the message behind the windows.
“It is a ‘thank you’ letter to all essential workers, New Yorkers, first responders, marchers for equality that showed their true grit in this very challenging year,” Urquizo told WABC.
