Halloween 2021 proved to be one for the books! This year all your favorites showed up and showed out. With a year of no trick or treating in 2020, the treats were on full display for Halloweekend 2021. Ariana Grande and Lizzo’s unbridled commitment to the look proved to be unbeatable, while folks like Kourtney Kardashian, Travis Barker, and Doja Cat, pulled inspiration from our favorite films and cartoons.
Check out our favorite Halloween looks from the spookiest weekend of the year!
Ariana Grande
Sorry, but of course, Ariana made The Creature from the Black Lagoon look hot! And as a bonus, AG’s fishy look featured her husband, Dalton Gomez, as the “Handsome Scuba Man.”
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom
Safety first! Katy and Orlando went the topical route this year and served vaccine chic costumes. Do you think Katy was Pfizer or Moderna?
Lizzo
The dedication! For her first look on Halloweekend, Lizzo stepped out as “Grogu aka Baby Yoda aka The Child has no recollection of these events.”
Lizzo (Again!)
We had to feature the "Rumors” singer twice because her Halloweekend commitment was on another level. During a performance this weekend, Lizzo did the entire “Thriller” routine while dressed as a character from Netflix’s hit show, Squid Games.
Cardi B and Kulture
Best witches! Cardi and her firstborn, Kulture, stepped out as this year’s cutest witches. Right down to the broomstick, this mother-daughter duo had all the details perfectly in place.
Doja Cat
Miss Sara Bellum finally has a face! Doja dressed as the iconic Townsville Mayoral secretary from The Powerpuff Girls may have won Halloween for us. Original, amazing, and executed without a flaw. She even rocked a tiny Mayor on her lapel.
Kali Uchis
Doja Cat wasn't the only artist who found inspo from her favorite old school Cartoon Network show... Kali went as Agent Honeydew, the iconic sidekick character to Monkey in Dexter's Laboratory.
Anderson .Paak
The co-founder of Silk Sonic, covered some of music's biggest legends with his Halloween costumes this year. From Stevie Wonder to Prince, to Bruno Mars, Anderson gave his followers a lot of looks to love… while paying homage to the greatest and his Silk Sonic collaborator.
Megan Thee Stallion
As Megan so kindly put it, “pain has a face.” The “Body” rapper had multiple stunning looks this year but her take on Hellraiser slayed us!
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker
Taking a page out of Patricia Arquette and Christian Slater’s book, Kourt and Travis gave us their best rendition of Clarence and Alabama from True Romance… and they nailed it.
Harry Styles
We’re calling it, Halloween 2021 is officially renamed “HARRYWEEN!” Somewhere over our rainbows is Harry Styles covered in blush and dressed as The Wizard of Oz’s Dorothy.
Lil Nas X
Nas's Declassified School Survival Guide made all our throwback dreams come true...and the blonde wig was the icing on the cake.
Chloe Bailey
Chloe Bailey brought Shark Tale to the surface again this Halloween, and she ate the "Lola" look right up!
