Congratulations, you’ve made it past hump day (aka Wednesday) and onto Thursday, which thanks to alliteration and Instagram is also known as #ThirstTrapThursday.
Now speaking directly to those of you who were adults the first time low rise jeans were a thing, according to Urban Dictionary, a thirst trap is a “sexy photograph or flirty message posted on social media.” Some definitions argue that thirst traps are inherently attention-seeking, referring to a user's “thirst" as a colloquialism likening sexual frustration to dehydration. Or simply that the goal is to motivate likes and slides in the DM. To those people we say, ummm… yeah, and what about it?
While celebs don’t need or reserve any particular day of the week to share their thirst inducing pics with the masses, there’s something nice about devoting this particular day of the week to show off your assets (insert winky face emoji).
So without further ado, in no particular order - the traps have been set below.
Megan Fox
It’s also giving a whole new meaning to thirst trap, because we’d literally sever a vein for her to drink from. Don’t lie you’d do the same.
Megan Thee Stallion
Friendly reminder that natural beauty is IT and that Megan Thee Stallion owns Thirst Trap Thursday. K bye.
Khloé Kardashian
It’s called the Plug and Trap: plug your brand and trap the thirst. It has a 98% success rate of getting likes and when used appropriately it has a 83% rate of getting you sales. The plug and trap...it works every time.
