After receiving heavy criticism for her EBONY magazine cover photo, Lil Kim is clapping back and setting the record straight as she believes she was purposely "sabotaged" for her 50 years of Hip-Hop anniversary cover.

Earlier this week, the long-standing publication revealed her cover photo on Instagram with the caption "There will never be another like @lilkimthequeenbee — she still is and has always been ‘That B****.' If you’ve ever questioned what she was about, all you need to do is listen to her flow on a track like the OG legend she is. In all her glory, Lil Kim graces our cover as only Hip-Hop royalty can.”

While some may have celebrated her, the comment section quickly became flooded with comments concerned about the heavy editing and retouching done to Kim in the photo.

Wanting to set the record straight, she shared the post to her Instagram story attaching the comment "I always told EBONY it looked like a painting but they didn’t wanna listen. They said they love it. It’s the sabotage for me. The funny s*** about this, is that this is THEIR retoucher!”

Peeping her post, Keith Major, the Director of Photography for the magazine provided the other side of the story. Responding to the comment section of EBONY's initial post, he said “Man, she wanted to be in control of the retouching so this is what we got.”

The "Crush on You" rapper then reposted the photo that she claims her and her team had originally approved. However to some, there aren't many differences between the two.
