Been there, done that!

Jessica Simpson has no plans to watch the New York Times documentary “Framing Britney Spears” because she “lived it.”

During an appearance on “The Tamron Hall Show,” the 40-year-old was asked if she had seen the documentary on Britney Spears' contentious past with the media and paparazzi, and the complicated conservatorship battle with her father.

"Ah, no," Simpson told Hall. "It’s one of those things that if I were to watch it, reliving that for me, it’s one of those triggers. It definitely gives me anxiety. And I lived it," Yahoo News reported.

The mom-of-three rose to fame in the same era as Spears and also faced scrutiny from the media, particularly on body weight fluctuations and her love life.

“I know Britney and I know what she went through,” Simpson continued. “It’s so hard because it’s so many people’s opinions on you just trying to live your life as a normal human being. Because inside we’re really just normal although we might have a big platform."

Spears stills remains in a legal conservatorship with her father, Jamie Spears, since her 2008 back-to-back involuntary hospitalizations. It has since sparked the “Free Britney” movement by fans who advocate for her legal and financial independence.

"You can only take stuff for so long,” Simpson added. “You can only allow people in and attacking you until you have to really put your guard up."

Simpson is the latest celebrity to come to the "Toxic" singer's defense since the debut of the doc in February.

In early March, Kim Kardashian sympathized with Spears after watching the documentary, reflecting on her own media scrutiny she’s endured throughout her career.

"The way the media played a big role in her life the way it did can be very traumatizing and it can really break even the strongest person," Kardashian wrote on her Instagram Story. "No matter how public someone's life may seem, no one deserves to be treated with such cruelty or judgment for entertainment."
