Roth, who recently threw in the towel on live performances, was accosted by the Fox News crew while arriving at Los Angeles International Airport from Cabo San Lucas this week and spoke openly about the possibility of him commanding a stage once again. "There's always a tomorrow for a singer, not so much for a trombone player these days, OK," he admitted. DLR then added in his signature cocky tone, "How many times did Rocky retire, seven? I think number 3 was my favorite... How many times did Rambo have to come out of retirement in order to make the sequel?"

Pressed about a possible Van Halen tribute helmed by Joe Satriani that was recently revealed, Roth acknowledged the prospect saying "Yea, I wrote the songs, I was the one who named the band. Are you talking about a tribute to me? I like the sight of you!" Roth then admitted there "absolutely" was a chance of the tribute happening. "Like I said, I'm only in the middle of my first retirement. I'm at the point now where I'm making sure the entire world knows I'm not talking! We're good."
