Our brother in radio died suddenly.
This has happened so quickly and everything that has gone on in the last 24 hours is pretty much a blur.
Randy loved to entertain and he loved to make us laugh. He loved his family more than
anything in the world...and they were so proud of him for finding his sobriety and his faith.
He recently had a friend make a hardwood plaque with the following inscribed:
Good Morning, this is God I will be handling your problems today. I will not need your help...so, have a nice day.
He had become such an advocate for addicts and was making a difference in the AA
community. People were reaching out to him and he was leading meetings. If you knew Randy, he would give a stranger the shirt off of his back.
Please remember his wife Dana, his son Aaron and his daughter Ally today and in the coming weeks. Dana will let us know when and where the Celebration of Life will be and we will pass it along as soon as we know. In lieu of flowers, his family asks you to make a donation to Make A Wish of East Tennessee in honor of Randy’s passion for helping the kids of East Tennessee.
