10. Alki Beach
Alki has SO many options! Bars and restaurants, sandy beaches, fire pits, grills, annndd THE OCEAN! This is one of the best spots in the area to go for a walk on the beach, play some sand volleyball, or sit on a patio and enjoy an ice cold drink!
9. Point Ruston waterfront
Tacoma got it right with the Point Ruston waterfront. A path for biking, running, or walking, and views as far as you can see. No better place for a sunny afternoon with your favorite strolling partner.
8. Point Defiance Park
Go see some true old growth trees without having to burn up your calves. The hikes at Point Defiance are great for all ages and the park has it all - forest, waterfront, trails and even wildlife. 760 Acres of adventure waiting for you right in the city!

6. Little Si
If you're looking for a hike that will end with a GREAT view, that doesn't require a ton of hiking experience, Little Si is for you! The Hike round trip is around 4 miles, but worth every second!
5. Kerry Park
Kerry Park is THE BEST view of Seattle and the Sound. Located at the top of Queen Anne, you can see the Skyline of Downtown Seattle, The Puget Sound, and of course Mt. Rainier! If you're looking for the perfect photo opp, this is a place you need to visit!
4. Gas Works Park
Located right on Lake Union, Gas Works Parks is an old utility plant, and still has all the old machinery! It is a one of a kind park, right on the water, with an amazing view of Downtown Seattle. Gas Works allows dogs, and is a great place to enjoy a picnic or toss around a frisbee or football.
3. Rattlesnake Ledge
This is my FAVORITE hike in the area. Rattlesnake Ledge is around a 4 mile round trip hike that has one of the best views at the very top. Before you start the hike, there is a large lake at the very base of hike. Also, along the way, there are multiple places to stop and check out the streams that run.
2. Lake Washington
Over Memorial Day Weekend, my Wife and I gathered a few friends and rented a boat for the day. We cruised around Lake Washington all day! Even checking out Lake Union, and cruising up to Ballard! If you haven't ever been out on the water on Lake Washington, you are missing out!
1. Mt. Rainier National Park
Its no question that Mt. Rainier is one of the most beautiful aspects of our area. You won't get a closer view than Mt. Rainier National Park. You can drive the park, or park and hike on multiple different trailheads. THIS IS A MUST!
