WalletHub has shared the results of its latest study determining the Best Cities for Christmas in 2020, and Seattle has made the Top 10!
The 15 key factors in determining the cities offering the safest and most affordable Christmas during the pandemic included COVID-19 cases, the availability of Christmas traditions, and the city’s overall generosity. Seattle took the #10 slot overall, in the 100 U.S. cities considered in the study.
One factor that helped Seattle in the rankings was its number of food banks per square foot of population, coming in at 0.024190 - 20.2 times more than in Boston, the city with the fewest at 0.001200.
People in Seattle are also generous, helping the city come in as part of a five-way tie for first place in online giving. Boston, MA, Washington, DC, New York, NY, San Francisco, CA, and Oakland, CA rounded out the tie.
Unfortunately, Seattle didn't fare so well when it came to the average price of wine, coming in at #92 with the highest average price.
