Thomas Rhett has a new appreciation for fashion tape after a significant wardrobe malfunction at the 57th Annual ACM Awards. Walking the red carpet, Rhett was stressin’ he’d give more of a “show” than he signed up and was focused on keeping camera lenses up.

"My zipper fell off right before, so I'm taped up," Rhett disclosed to an Entertainment Tonight red carpet corespondent. "I'm trying to stand really still right now, so make sure the camera's just like, right here."
The malfunction didn’t keep Rhett from enjoying the night as he soaked up all the big moments.
"It is a big night,” Rhett continued. "I mean, first time we've done this with real people in a while, and I got out of the car right before Dolly [Parton]. I was like, 'This is amazing,' but yeah, getting to perform two songs, nominated twice, just very, very blessed to be here."
Luckily, Rhett was able to change outfits before taking the stage for his performances of “Slow Down Summer,” as well as a special collaboration with Breland of “Praise The Lord.”
While his nominations for Album of the Year and Male Artist of the Year didn’t turn into trophies, it was still a memorable night for the 31-year-old… broken zipper and all.
Rhett is readying to release his sixth album, Where We Started on April 1. The project is a follow-up "Country Again: Side A,” which released in 2021.
