Jarard J’s radio career began in Phoenix at KKFR under the stage name of “Jx3” (J times 3). He was the evening show host for 4 years, and then the afternoon host for 7 years, and he was the top rated personality in the market in BOTH! After his run in Phoenix, he went to Atlanta to the largest urban radio station in the country. While at V103, he served as the key fill in host for the morning, and afternoon shows. Currently, Jarard is the mid day show host from 10am-2pm in his home town, Denver CO at KS1075!
Originally from Denver Co, Jarard graduated from Rangeview High School and went on to play football and study meteorology at Arizona State University. Immediately after college, and completely under God’s intentions, Jarard began his journey as a radio/TV personality, but it wasn’t by his design.
Jarard was discovered by Bruce St. James while being the MC in Phoenix nightclubs. At the time, Bruce was the program director of Power 92.3 in Phoenix. He walked up to Jarard while he was on the mic in the club and asked him simply, “Can you do that on the radio?” Jarard took a meeting with Bruce, and the rest is, as they say, history!
Jarard is very passionate about his family, and you will hear him make references to his family members quite frequently on the radio. He has 3 brothers, one sister, and 9 nieces and nephews. Jarard is not married, and has no children.
Jarard has a passion for cars, and airplanes. And a few of his favorite movies are “Transformers”, “glory”, and “Top Gun”. But what he loves the most…is the MICROPHONE!
