Aaron Rodgers is in the midst of trying to win a Super Bowl, but once the season is over he will have a pretty good side gig.
The Green Bay Packers quarterback revealed on “The Pat McAfee Show” Tuesday that he will be among the guest hosts filling in for the late Alex Trebek on “Jeopardy!.”
“One of my idols growing up was Alex Trebek,” Rodgers said. “And being able to be on ‘Jeopardy!’ years ago – even thought my wardrobe outfit wasn’t the greatest choice … they are doing some guest hosting spots and … I have the opportunity to do one of those.”
Rodgers, 37, was on “Celebrity Jeopardy!” in 2015 and won – beating out “Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary and astronaut Mark Kelly despite not winning in Final Jeopardy.
Trebek even did a “Discount Double Check” during the show – which was quite popular from Rodgers’ State Farm ads at the time.
Rodgers said he did not get the chance to watch Ken Jennings guest host on Monday – he was watching game film, of course – but added he is excited about his opportunity with “Jeopardy!.”
