Amid a rising number of COVID cases in MLB—All-Stars Freddie Freeman and Salvador Perez were reportedly among the league’s 31 positives tests this week— is keeping a running tab of each player diagnosed. For your convenience, we’ve also included a tracker documenting all players who have voluntarily opted out of the coronavirus-shortened 2020 MLB season. Players positive for COVID-19 aren’t necessarily in danger of missing significant regular-season time, but obviously it will complicate their paths to being ready for Opening Day on July 23.
