UPDATE: The Cardinals-Brewers Series has been postponed.
The Sunday doubleheader between the Brewers and Cardinals at Miller Park has also been called off due to additional testing and monitoring of Cardinals’ players and staff members.
As of now, the Cardinals will play four games against the Tigers in Detroit from Tuesday-Thursday with a doubleheader on Wednesday. The Cardinals will be considered the home club for two of the four games.
The Brewers will play their home-and-home series vs. the Chicago White Sox as scheduled.
The St. Louis Cardinals reported multiple new positive coronavirus tests on Saturday, after the team's Friday game in Milwaukee was already postponed by an outbreak, according to media reports.
The additional positives prompted the postponement of Saturday night's game as well, MLB insider Jon Heyman reported.
The Cardinals were rescheduled to play a doubleheader against the Brewers on Sunday after Friday's postponement. It was unclear whether that plan was still in place, but it appeared unlikely the teams would play the twin bill, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post.
Coronavirus-related suspensions have affected 31 scheduled MLB games so far in the shortened season, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today.
