Derrick Rose is tying the knot. The NBA veteran popped the question Tuesday night, proposing to his longtime girlfriend Alaina Anderson on the Knicks’ home floor at Madison Square Garden.

Anderson, a fitness and social media influencer with a follower count well into six digits, debuted her massive engagement ring on Instagram Tuesday. The couple, who, according to Jenna Lemoncelli of the New York Post, have been an item since at least 2016, already share a daughter and a son together. Rose has a second son, Derrick Jr., from a previous relationship.

A three-time NBA All-Star and former MVP, the 33-year-old first rose to prominence with Chicago, leading his hometown Bulls to a league-best 62 regular-season wins in 2011. injuries would derail his Hall-of-Fame trajectory, though the 6’2” point guard has recently experienced a career resurgence, finishing as one of three finalists for Sixth Man of the Year this past season.

A career 18.5-point-per-game scorer for the Bulls, Knicks, Cavaliers, Timberwolves and Pistons (he was also traded to Utah at one point, but never played for them), Rose will begin his 13th NBA season October 20th when the Knicks host division-rival Boston at MSG. The former top draft pick drew plenty of interest as a free agent this summer, but opted to remain with the Knicks on a new three-year, $43-million contract, continuing his partnership with Tom Thibodeau, who also coached him in Chicago and Minnesota.
