The 2020 NBA Draft date is finally set.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the league has locked in Wednesday, Nov. 18 for the draft.
The draft has been pushed back twice since the coronavirus pandemic turned the NBA and sports world upside down back in March.
The date was originally slated for June 25 but was pushed back to October 16. Over the last few weeks, the league made the decision to push it back even further as logistics surrounding salary cap, player workouts and the 2020-21 calendar came into affect.
The NBA held the draft lottery on Aug. 20, which the Minnesota Timberwolves won to earn the No. 1 pick.
While there is no clear-cut No. 1 pick in this year’s draft, the top prospects include LaMelo Ball of the Australian National Basketball League, James Wiseman of Memphis and Anthony Edwards of Georgia.
