The recruitment battle is on for the next Manning quarterback.
Arch Manning, the nephew of both Peyton and Eli, is the No. 1 quarterback recruit for the class of 2023 and will have a big decision to make on where he decides to play in college.
Manning was in attendance for the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs' 40-13 win over South Carolina on Saturday. Georgia is one of several contenders to land the top-rated QB as it was the second reported visit he has had to the campus after visiting them earlier this year.
Bulldogs fans clearly knew of Manning’s trip ahead of time and came prepared, as a group of students painted their backs in red and black to read “We want Arch!”
Manning’s visit to the Bulldogs campus came a day after he made his junior year debut for Isidore Newman High School in Louisiana, completing 19-of-34 passes for three touchdowns as well as rushing for 50 yards, too, in a 28-0 win over Vandebilt Catholic High School.
It should be a hotly contested recruitment battle for the third generation Manning quarterback who began receiving national buzz as a freshman two years ago.
Manning told 247 Sports prior to the season that he planned to make recruitment trips to Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Ole Miss and Clemson.
Ole Miss is where Eli and Arch’s father, Cooper, both went.
