ESPN NFL Draft Guru Reveals Coronavirus Diagnosis

ESPN NFL Draft analyst Todd McShay has revealed he will not cover this year's draft while mending from the coronavirus.

"I'm so sorry to tell you I won't be working the NFL Draft this year," McShay said on Twitter. "I'm home recovering from coronavirus."

McShay, a fixture of NFL Drafts for years along with his senior partner, Mel Kiper Jr., vowed to return and thanked those on the front lines of the coronavirus battle.

"I also want to assure you I'll be back, thanks to the tireless work of healthcare workers and first responders. You truly are the nation's heroes."

The NFL came under some criticism after it announced several weeks ago that this year's draft would be held as scheduled via internet and phone call despite the public health crisis.

Last week, Los Angeles Rams center Brian Allen became the first confirmed coronavirus case among NFL players.

McShay closed with a good-natured parting shot at his partner.

"In the meantime, I'll be watching and I hope you will be too. I also hope Wingo and crew will help me out and do their best to keep Kiper in line!"
