Fantasy football: Week 7 waiver wire, streamers and starts

Next man up has been the mantra in Philly this season and for good reason. Last week in this space we touted Travis Fulgham, an anonymous practice-squadder who, through injuries and happenstance, has quickly ascended to lead status in the Eagles’ grab-bag receiving corps. The shorthanded Eagles don’t seem to be getting any healthier with hobbled bell-cow Miles Sanders and centerpiece Zach Ertz (who has turned a team-high 45 targets into a dismal 24-178-1 receiving line this year) joining the likes of DeSean Jackson, Alshon Jeffery, Dallas Goedert, Jalen Reagor, Jason Peters and Lane Johnson among the Birds’ walking wounded.

A former practice-squadder himself, Boston Scott largely squandered his first opportunity at workhorse usage, submitting just 54 yards on 11 touches in Sanders’ stead against Washington earlier this year. But with a golden matchup on tap against the Giants, fresh off their first victory of 2020 (the result of “Riverboat” Ron Rivera’s overly ambitious two-point conversation try in the waning moments of Week 6), it’s easy to see Scott’s path to redemption. Owned in a mere 15 percent of Yahoo leagues, Scott has all the makings of a plug-and-play fantasy RB2, making him among the week’s most coveted waiver adds.

Along with Scott’s budding fantasy prospects, Stephen Andress, Jordan Cohn and I discuss Tim Patrick’s meteoric rise in the Mile High City, a can’t-miss matchup for glove enthusiast Teddy Bridgewater and the merits of starting feast-or-famine Texans receiver Brandin Cooks against the Packers in a jam-packed Week 7 edition of the RADIO.COM Fantasy Football Show. Get it while it’s hot.
