After just about everything possible went right to start off the 2021 Philadelphia Eagles season, a whole lot went wrong in Week 2. The loss to the San Francisco 49ers wasn't good, but it was far less significant than another piece of news that was revealed after the game had reached its conclusion.
According to reporter Derrick Gunn, Brandon Graham could be done for the year with an Achilles injury.
John Clark of NBC Sports followed up that report with a confirmation, along with a video of Graham leaving the field after the injury took place.
Graham was initially ruled out of the game with an ankle injury, though it now appears that it was worse. Also exiting the game was Brandon Brooks with a chest injury.
Graham played in all 16 regular season games the past three years, earning his first Pro Bowl nomination in 2020. A career-long Eagle, Graham has appeared in 161 games and has been a sturdy fixture on the defensive line.
