Tampa Bay Buccaneers Coach Bruce Arians Rules Out Signing Antonio Brown

A possible reunion between Tom Brady and Antonio Brown was an idea that struck fear in the hearts of several NFL fans, provided tons of intrigue to the Buccaneers fan base and has had the entire football universe abuzz with speculation since the days of Tom Brady's signing in Tampa Bay.

But Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians was quick to officially put those rumors to rest in an appearance on "Tiki and Tierney" on Thursday night.

The thought of adding one of the most skilled receivers in NFL history to a corps that already includes the duo of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin would seem to put the Tampa Bay offense in a tier above the rest of the league. However, Brown's off-field controversies seem to have been too big a deterrent for Arians to seriously consider signing him.

Brady has been a vocal supporter of Antonio Brown on social media, sticking by his side even when the majority of the NFL universe had taken a stance against his antics.

With Arians' latest comments, however, Brady is unlikely to have Brown as a teammate in Tampa Bay. You can listen to the whole interview here.

In one game as a Patriot last season, Brown caught four passes for 56 yards and a touchdown before his eventual release. Afterward, he faced more legal troubles in Florida and eventually turned himself in to law enforcement.
