(SportsRadio 610) -- Alex Bregman has hired baseball's most famous agent.
The Astros third baseman hired Scott Boras to represent him, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reported Friday.

The moves comes several weeks after Bregman fired his agent Brodie Scoffield back in May. Scoffield had recently joined Klutch Sports Group, which was founded by LeBron James' agent Rich Paul.

James' media company Uninterrupted had recently announced plans to produce a documentary about the Astros' sign-stealing scandal in the 2017 World Series season.

Bregman's decision to hire Boras is in line with MLB superstars such as Gerrit Cole, the former Astros pitcher who signed a record-breaking nine-year, $324 million deal with the New York Yankees over the offseason; and Houston-native Anthony Rendon, who signed with the Los Angeles Angels for $245 million.

Boras also represents Astros Jose Altuve and Lance McCullers Jr.
