HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610)- The Astros have placed pitcher Brad Peacock on the 10-day IL, the team announced before Friday's game against the Seattle Mariners.
Peacock was tagged with the loss in the Astros 10-0 defeat to the Pittsburgh Pirates Thursday, after allowing six runs in three innings. He finished June 1-4 with a 6.39 ERA. He is the second starting pitcher the team has lost this week after it optioned Framber Valdez to AAA Round Rock following Wednesday's game.
Astros manager A.J. Hinch did not say who would make Peacock's scheduled start Tuesday at Coors Field.
Pitcher Reymin Guduan was recalled from AAA Round Rock to take Peacock's spot on the Astros 25-man roster.
