HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610)- The Astros have reportedly bolstered their starting rotation by reportedly acquiring six-time All Star Zack Greinke from the Arizona Diamondbacks for a package of four prospects.

Greinke, 35, joins the Astros after going 10-4 with a 2.90 ERA in an All Star campaign with the Diamondbacks. He struck out 135 batters in 146 innings. The 2009 American League Cy Young Award winner is in the fourth year of a six-year, $206.5 million contract. He's owed $7 million for the remainder of 2019 and $35 million in each of the next two seasons. The Diamondbacks will send $24 million to the Astros as part of the deal.
In return for Greinke, the Astros will send prospects, Corbin Martin, Seth Beer, J.B. Bukauskas, and Josh Rojas. Martin made his Major League debut for the Astros in May, but underwent Tommy John surgery July 3. Beer and Bukauskas were the Astros first-round picks in 2018 and 2017.
