An illness will keep Rockets guard Austin Rivers off the floor for game one of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Golden State Warriors Sunday afternoon at Oracle Arena, Mike D'Antoni announced.

Speaking to reporters pregame, D'Antoni did not specify what Rivers is dealing with or his prognosis moving forward, but did indicate that Iman Shumpert will take his spot in the Rockets rotation.

Rivers signed with the Rockets Christmas Eve and averaged 6.2 points in 17.4 minutes during the Rockets first round series win against the Utah Jazz.

On the Warriors side, Steve Kerr said Stephen Curry will play despite a sprained ankle suffered Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers, but Klay Thompson is a game-time decision. He also sprained his ankle Friday. Kerr said an MRI conducted on Thompson's ankle came back negative.
