“I’m hungry. I’m out there on a mission, like I told you, I’ve got a chip on my shoulder coming in this year. So I’m running angry, running mad, and it’s been paying off for me,” Hyde said following the Texans’ 13-12 win over Jacksonville.
Hyde, 29, is on his fourth team in two years and joined the Texans just days before the start of the 2019 regular season in a trade with Kansas City. Despite being new to the Texans, it’s a place he likes to be.
“I love it here, I’m happy to be here, happy to be a part of this offense, part of this team. Help this team win games. I’m still learning the offense, but it’s definitely coming together for me.”
Hyde also led the Texans in rushing during their Week 1 loss at New Orleans when he ran for 83 yards on just two carries.
In two games with the Texans, Hyde has rushed for 173 yards, putting him on a 1,384 yard pace for the season.
