Deshaun Watson: 'This Offense Can Be Very, Very Scary'

HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) – With 53 points and 592 yards of total offense, the Texans’ offense showed they can live up to the hype.

Coming into the season, many were expecting big things from the Texans offensively with superstars like Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins. With a trio of receivers around Hopkins in Will Fuller, Kenny Stills and Keke Coutee.  The preseason trades for Laremy Tunsil, Duke Johnson Jr. and Carlos Hyde added to the arsenal and it all came together for the Texans in Sunday’s win against Atlanta.

Here’s what the Texans are saying after the offensive breakout:

“We know the kind of offense that we have. We know the points that we can put up. We've got to continue this and come out Monday and worry about the Chiefs." – DeAndre Hopkins

"Today was a good example of when the offense is clicking and when we got things rolling we can score a lot of points. It was good for us, good to see. Build from it and prepare for next week.” - Carlos Hyde

“It just shows the potential this offense has. We have weapons everywhere in the backfield with both Duke (Johnson) and Carlos (Hyde). And then obviously, you’ve got Will (Fuller), in my opinion the two best receivers that money can buy. It just shows exactly what the offense can do when we are firing on all cylinders.” – Darren Fells

Starting with Hop, you have to double him. In my eyes, he's the best receiver in the game. You can't allow him to beat you. He's 99 on the video game, so everything that comes his way he usually catches. He gets open. So of course they're going to double the best receiver and see if their other guys can play man and lock up and see if they can stop. But you have Will Fuller who is a prime receiver too. I feel like, in my eyes, an all-pro receiver. And then when you get Kenny Stills, who can run once he gets back, and Keke (Coutee), who does great things. And the tight ends and running backs that can catch, this offense can be very, very scary. We've got to go out there execute. If we can do that, it will be great. I know Will did a heck of a job. And DeAndre did a heck of a job allowing Will to get open with double coverage and setting the routes up for him.” - Deshaun Watson
