HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610)- After missing the last five games with hip and adductor injuries, the Rockets expect Kenneth Faried to return to the floor when they take on the Charlotte Hornets Monday night at Toyota Center.
Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni made the announcement prior to the Rockets 94-93 win in Dallas Sunday. Faried suffered the injury in the first half of the Rockets 118-113 win in Charlotte February 27. It was originally diagnosed as a hip flexor strain, but an MRI conducted last week revealed an adductor strain as well.
Since joining the Rockets in January, Faried has averaged 14.9 points and 9.4 rebounds in 16 games.
The Rockets have won eight straight games, putting them at 41-25 on the season, good for third place in the Western Conference.
