Astros outfielder George Springer is day to day after crashing into the center field wall at Miller Park in Tuesday night's game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Manager AJ Hinch said the Astros' leadoff hitter is doing OK, though it was a scary moment for the team when Springer was carted off the field in the fifth inning.

“He’s doing OK,” Hinch told reporters. “He ran into the wall and obviously got carted off the field, but he’s doing well given all the circumstances of running into a wall. He made a great catch."

The Astros lost the game 4-2. They are off Wednesday before facing the Seattle Mariners in a four-game series beginning Thursday.

Fellow outfielder Josh Reddick told reporters Springer was alert and answering questions from athletic trainer Jeremiah Randall, but kept saying he had a headache.

Hinch said the team is waiting for the medical evaluation, but the injury "could be anything," given how violent the collision was with the wall.
