Texans fall to the Packers 28-26

The 2018 season for the Houston Texans featured an 0-3 start, a nine-game winning streak, 11-5 record, and the 2018 AFC South Championship, but ended with a loss in the wildcard round of the playoffs. Now with the first preseason game of the 2019 season, the Texans are looking forward to finding out what they have on the roster and if they can improve over last season. 

With Joe Webb III receiving the start under center and that meant a hefty amount of running for the Texans first preseason game.

The Packers took advantage of recovering a mismanaged punt by wide receiver, Keke Coutee, took the lead and kept it for the remainder of the game.

An ankle injury to Coutee and a leg injury center Greg Mancz overshadowed the first half of the game. 

The injury to Mancz sent starting right guard, Zach Fulton, under center with 2019 second-round draft pick, Max Scharping, getting snaps at right guard.

Coutee suffered an ankle injury following an 11-yard catch with 13:58 left in the second quarter. He was helped off the field by the Texans training staff and then carted to the locker room. The receiver later tweeted, then deleted, "Y'all can say what y'all want to behind this screen, but y'all never spent a day in my shoes. Minor setback, nothing major!!!"

The Texans had four turnovers in the game, with two coming off interceptions from Webb. Webb went 25-40 for 286 yards, one touchdown and rushed for a team-high 47 yards.

The Texans fall to the Green Bay Packers, 28-26.
