“The offensive line has been doing a hell of a job for me. They’ve been blocking really well, allowing me to run north and south,” Texans’ running back Carlos Hyde said.
Hyde’s 173-yards are good for the seventh best total in the league, and has averaged 5.8 yards per carry. Duke Johnson Jr. is averaging 5.9 yards per carry as well. Add it all up, and the offensive line that takes a lot of criticism for not protecting their quarterback, has the second most yards per carry in the NFL behind only the New York Giants.
“We just got to keep it up, can’t get too cocky right now, just got to keep it moving, keep running the ball,” Texans’ left tackle Laremy Tunsil added about the rushing attack.
Tunsil is listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report with an ankle injury that forced him to momentarily leave the Jacksonville game. Tunsil reentered the week 2 contest and spoke to the media on Friday with the sound that he’d be in the lineup against the Chargers.
