After the Texans first drive, a three and out, the Colts continued to move the ball down the field. Nine plays and 74-yards later, Marlon Mack bounced in and out of the end zone for the Colts second touchdown of the game. (14-0 Colts)
In the most promising series of the game, the Houston Texans drove to the Indianapolis nine-yard line, failed to convert on the second fourth and one of the game, and turned the ball over to the Colts with 1:20 left in the second quarter. The Texans defense was able to survive and kept Andrew Luck from scoring as time ran out. (21-0 Colts)
The Texans received that ball to begin the second half, but not much changed. Connecting for two passes and then missing short on the next two throws forced the Texans to punt for the third time in the game. The Colts and the Texans traded six punts for the remainder of the third quarter with no scores.
On the first play, Watson rushed for 12-yards for the first down and then found Coutee for 14-yards for another first down. A few rushes by Watson moved the Texans into Colts territory. On fourth down and ten, Deshaun Watson threw a pass that fell to the ground with no Texans' player around. The Texans turned the ball over on downs and subsequently ended the 2018-19 season.
The Colts drained the clock for the remainder of the of the clock to seal their win and a trip to Kansas City.
