HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) – Jordan Akins turned in the best game of his career in Sunday’s victory against the Chargers.
The second-year pro caught a career-high three passes for a career-high 73 yards and a career-high two touchdown grabs.

September 22, 2019 “He did a good job, he’s been improving every week,” Texans’ head coach Bill O’Brien said after the win.
Akins second touchdown grab of the game came early in the fourth quarter, and gave the Texans a 27-17 lead.

September 22, 2019 “I just kind of stepped up, got out of a little pressure, and then I saw (Akins) go right when I was going left and no one was over there, so I kind of flipped him the ball and he made the play after that,” Texans’ quarterback Deshaun Watson said about his second scoring connection with Akins.
Akins, a third-round pick in 2018, entered Sunday’s game without a touchdown in his 18 game career.
