HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610)- The Astros placed Brad Peacock on the 10-day injured list after the pitcher experienced a "sharp pain" in his right shoulder during Tuesday's 15-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Peacock just returned from a IL stint August 18 that cost him more than six weeks. He underwent X-rays and an MRI Wednesday.

"Same stuff I've been going through pretty much the whole year," Peacock said.

In 20 games this season, Peacock is 7-6 with a 4.06 ERA. He started the season in the Astros rotation, but has pitched out of the bullpen since returning from his first injured list stint.

To replace Peacock on the 25-man roster, the Astros recalled Cy Sneed from AAA Round Rock.
