HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) Laremy Tunsil is a quick learner, which is a positive as he tries to absorb a lot of information ahead of the Texans’ Week 1 matchup against New Orleans.

“Laremy comes from a system in Miami that’s very similar to what we’re doing.  Chad O’Shea, being the coordinator in Miami, Laremy had heard a lot of the terms, he’s a very quick learner,” Texans’ Head Coach Bill O’Brien said of his new left tackle.

Tunsil, 25, was acquired by the Texans, along with Kenny Stills, a fourth-round and sixth-round pick in exchange for two first-round and a second-round selection over the weekend, which gives Tunsil about a week to get ready for Monday Night Football.

“Laremy has been in here all day, working with Mike, working some of the veteran guys,” O’Brien added.  “At the end of the day, that’s going to be a challenge early on, because he just got here, but he’s played a lot of football and maybe what somebody calls an apple, we call an orange.  It’s just different terms, but it’s the same blocking assignment.”
