HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) – Rumors and speculation about Jadeveon Clowney continue to run rampant, and until Clowney signs his tender, there's nothing that can be done.

"Anytime he wants to come in and sign the tender, we can sit down and talk and go through all those things. Again, it's all about what's best for the team.  Right now, having these conversations, they can't even take place because he has to come in and sign the tender," Texans' Head Coach Bill O'Brien told the media during Friday's press conference.

The latest rumor is that the Texans were rejected in an effort to trade for Laremy Tunsil.  Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reported that Miami told the Texans they wanted more after being offered Jadeveon Clowney and a first-round pick for the 25-year-old left tackle.

One option for Clowney is to miss regular season games because of the relationship with the Texans souring.  O'Brien reiterates they like Clowney, but they just don't see eye to eye on how much he's worth.

"It's not matter of want, it's a matter of a difference of opinion in value relative to the contract, it has nothing to do with want," O'Brien added.  "This is where the business end of things come in and until he signs the tender, we really don't have a whole lot to talk about."
