DALLAS – The Houston Roughnecks (4-0, 2-0 West Div.) defense forced five Dallas (2-2, 2-1 West) turnovers as Houston remained the XFL’s only unbeaten team in winning 27-20.

It is second-straight road victory for the Roughnecks.

Houston picked off Dallas quarterback Landry Jones three times in the first quarter that led to two field goals by Sergio Castillo and a touchdown catch by Nick Holley, the first of his career.

Roughneck linebacker Edmond Robinson sacked Jones on the Dallas 12-yard line and forced a fumble that he scooped and score with 11:48 to play and to give Houston a 27-20 lead.

On second-and-three from the Houston three-yard line Dallas was on the verge of scoring, when Houston linebacker DeMarquis Gates collected his second interception of the season. This time he picked off back-up quarterback Philip Nelson. The ball caromed off a Dallas receiver and popped up when Roughneck linebacker Edmond Robinson made initial impact hit and Gates was nearby to secure the pick.

Houston returns home Saturday, March 7 when it hosts Seattle at 2 p.m. on ABC.
