HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) – Yes, the Texans are preparing for Tyreek Hill as if he will play for Kansas City when the Chiefs host the Texans from Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.

"We'd be idiots not to prepare for that.  He's a great player and a game breaker.  If he plays, we just have to do a good a job as we can of knowing where he is and do a good a job as we can of defending him," Texans' head coach Bill O'Brien said during Friday's press conference.

Hill was a limited participant Wednesday and Thursday as he continues to inch closer to a return after suffering a complicated shoulder injury that saw him carted off the field against Jacksonville in Week 1 of the season.

"He had a sternal clavicular joint injury, which is where your clavicle comes out of your sternum," Kansas City's head trainer Rick Burkholder said in a statement at the time.

There is hope for Kansas City that Hill will return on Sunday against the Texans according to Ian Rapoport who said on an appearance on "Good Morning Football," that there is 'optimism' he will play.

The two-time All-Pro caught 87 passes for 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns last year for Kansas City.
