HOUSTON, TX (SPORTSRADIO 610) – The Houston Texans announced their assistant coaching and operational staff changes.
The Texans make it official after reports that emerged on Saturday of the team promoting tight end coach, Tim Kelly, to offensive coordinator.
Other moves include Car Smith as the new QB coach, replacing Sean Ryan, who left for the same position with the Detroit Lions.
Former Houston Texans T.J. Yates, Akeem Dent, and Brian Cushing also have positions on Bill O'Brien's staff.
Wes Welker, who was the wide receivers coach last season, is no longer listed as a part of the coaching staff.
