HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610)- According to ESPN, the Rockets have agreed to trade Carmelo Anthony and cash to the Chicago Bulls.
Anthony signed with the Rockets in August for the veteran's minimum, but left the team and Anthony agreed to separate after the 10-time all star averaged 13.4 points during the Rockets first 10 games of the season. The team has been trying to find a trade partner ever since. The Rockets will likely send the Bulls the remainder of Anthony's 2018-19 salary, but they save $2.5 million against the luxury tax.
The trade will be completed Tuesday after the NBA league office returns from the holiday weekend, but because it wasn't completed Monday the Rockets waived James Nunally in order to make room on their roster for Kenneth Faried, who signed with the team after being waived by the Brooklyn Nets Saturday.
